Why RUDY Exists
RUDY Community Resource Foundation was created in honor of Yvonne “Rudy” Nelson—a woman who loved her family deeply, adored her dog Max, and spent most of her adult life helping people as a Chicago 311 operator. Rudy was the kind of person people could call when they needed direction, information, or simply someone willing to help them figure things out. RUDY carries that spirit forward by helping people find resources, understand their options, and identify their next step.
